Tujunga, CA – Competition Motorsports scored a race win and three additional podium finishes during the third round of the Pirelli GT3 Cup Trophy USA at the famous Laguna Seca circuit. Team drivers Alessandro Chiocchetti, Steve Goldman, Mike Mc Alister, Fred Poordad, and Michael Zuieback were all in attendance for the second of two championship rounds held in California for 2015. This weekend saw all Competition Motorsports drivers competing in the Diamond class (which uses the 991 GT3 Cup Car), and over the two 45 minute sprint races, numerous Competition Motorsports drivers earned podium finishes; and in Race 2, a victory.

A total of twenty-one cars were entered in the field for the Laguna Seca weekend and two practice sessions were held on Friday, July 24th. On Saturday, July 25th qualifying for Race 1 saw Fred Poordad take pole position. Later in the day, the results for Race 1 were superb, as all five of the Competition Motorsports drivers held the Top-6 positions. Alessandro Chiocchetti finished P6, Mike Mc Alister finished P5, Steve Goldman finished P4, Michael Zuieback finished P3, and Fred Poordad finished in P2. After the successful results on Saturday, the drivers had to qualify again and compete in Race 2 on Sunday, July 26th. Qualifying for Race 2 saw Fred Poordad take his second pole position of the weekend. Michael Zuieback and Alessandro Chiocchetti rounded out the Top-3 qualifying positions, starting P2 and P3 respectively. At the end of the 45-minute Race 2 through the busy Laguna Seca Circuit, it was Fred Poordad in his #20 Wealth Management Strategies sponsored Porsche 991 GT3 Cup Car scoring the victory. In addition, Alessandro Chiocchetti brought home his #49 CM Racing sponsored Porsche 991 GT3 Cup Car on the final step of the podium. Mike Mc Alister improved on his results and finished P4. Michael Zuieback scored a Top-5 finish, crossing the line in P5. Steve Goldman kept the streak of Top-6 finishes for all Competition Motorsports alive by finishing in P6 with his #3 Revita Rugs sponsored Porsche 991 GT3 Cup Car.
