Tujunga, CA — The Competition Motorsports team made a successful start to the Pirelli GT3 Cup Trophy USA Championship with drivers Alessandro Chiocchetti, Steve Goldman, Mike Mc Alister, Fred Poordad, and Michael Zuieback. The team entered five new Porsche 991 GT3 Cup Cars during this first round of the championship, held at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas.

The drivers and crew members had to constantly battle changing weather conditions throughout the weekend. As a result of the team rallying through the rain, cold weather, and windy conditions, each driver from the team scored great results over the two races. After Race 1 (held in dry conditions) and after Race 2 (held in wet conditions), the point standings in the Diamond Class are:

Fred Poordad – P3
Michael Zuieback – P4
Alessandro Chiocchetti – P5
Steve Goldman – P7
Mike Mc Alister P8
